You do not have to get into the ocean to stay cool at the Shore.
Ed Murray | NJ Advance Media for NJ.comAt Runaway Rapids in Keansburg, you can do that over and over under a bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water.“I’m trying to figure out what is going on,” a cool Kimani Blake exclaimed after having the 1,000-gallon tipping bucket poured over her head. Runaway Rapids has more than two dozen water rides, some built for speed, but they also have the ever-popular lazy river to float around the water park.“Attendance is just about back to pre-COVID years,” said park Manager Angela Lee. The waterpark and Keansburg Amusement Park is a third-generation, family-owned by Hank and William Gehlhaus.
