Splash World Southport has reopened for the summer months with thousands of visitors expected
A council run water park has issued clarity after a mum raised concerns over CCTV cameras in the facility's changing rooms.
But one mum has raised concerns of the facility's use of CCTV in the changing areas. Sefton Council, which runs Splash World, has since issued calm over the matter.Taking to Twitter, user Caffy posted on Friday: "I was here yesterday with my kids getting unchanged in the family changing room to see a camera watching us. I felt freaked out, what is the meaning of this?"
Sefton Council has since issued calm, teling LancsLive that the camera is has a fixed view of the locker area and cannot look elsewhere in the room. "It is located to give the best coverage of the lockers to provide Splash World’s visitors with added security for their belongings. This is an industry standard provision and similar CCTV systems are in operation across other leisure centres.
