Plans have been submitted to build a new home at the end of an existing property’s garden.

A house at the corner of Briar Road and Bramble Close in North Watford would have part of its garden used as the site of a one-bedroom bungalow under a proposal added to Watford Borough Council's planning portal today .

According to the application, the area at the end of the long garden is now “unused”. Two parking spaces currently divide the existing garden space into two areas. The existing property faces out onto Briar Road but the new bungalow would face onto Bramble Close and have a driveway with a parking space and a bin store accessed from that road.

According to a design and access form, “the spacing, and the single storey nature of the new building would retain the open nature of the street scene in Bramble Close”.We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
