A raw over pay has prompted a vote from ambulance workers to go on strike four days before Christmas.
Unions say the Government could stop the strike "in a heartbeat". Rachel Harrison, GMB national secretary, said: “After 12 years of Conservative cuts to the service and their pay packets, NHS staff have had enough. Jason Kirkham, a Unite member and paramedic, said the strike was about saving the NHS. He said: "This strike isn’t just about pay – it is to save the NHS. The NHS is crumbling.
