With the cost of living on the rise, many people are looking for great ways to entertain their kids without breaking the bank - and one Nottingham venue seems to be offering just that. Wollaton Hall and Deer Park attracts visitors from not only across Nottingham - but the UK wide.
She noted how nice it was to see the site so packed with people exploring the hall and the outer grounds. Once inside, visitors can enjoy free of charge and without a ticket, the natural history collections, which include a bird and fish room in the Long Gallery, as well as The Great Hall and Salon. While viewing the exhibitions is free of charge, those who decide to drive to Wollaton Hall will need to pay a parking charge. An all-day ticket costs £5, or visitors can pay £2 for two hours.
The exhibition details fascinating stories of animal skeletons now for the public to see. One display tells the tale of a domestic horse that was purchased by the museum in the late 1800s and won first prize at the Bingham Horse Show in 1871.
