We'd averaged about 3.1 miles per kilowatt-hour and had to drive more than 150 miles to our next charging point. We could've easily made it without the need to stop, but a restroom break forced us to take a quick recess in Enterprise, Oregon, a town with stunning vistas to the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. We used this time to plug the 2022 Kia EV6 to a Level 2 charger, and by the time we got coffee and emptied our bladders we had 9 more miles of range.

And with its 310 miles of electric range it's a better option compared to the 274 miles the all-wheel-drive model delivers.We arrived in Lewiston, Idaho, with the EV6's battery at 41 percent. A 50-kW ChargePoint charger in a casino parking lot served as our last stop before we headed back to Walla Walla. While we ate one of the driest burgers we've recently tasted, the EV6 reached 100 percent in 1 hour, 15 minutes.
