We have our first look at Kin season three

Earlier this summer, it was confirmed that Kin would finally be returning for a third season. And we're very excited!

After going off air in 2023 due to the collapse of Canadian co-producer Bron Studios, RTÉ has now announced that filming is officially underway on the long-awaited new season, with the series expected to return to RTÉ One next year.

Co-created by Peter McKenna and Ciaran Donnelly, Kin first premiered in 2021 and quickly became one of Ireland’s biggest television successes. Following the fictional Kinsella crime family, the drama starred Aidan Gillen, Clare Dunne and Ciarán Hinds, along with Emmett J. Scanlan, Charlie Cox and Yasmine Seky.

According to the official synopsis, season three will see “the Kinsella crime family consolidate power, but as buried betrayals and long-simmering rivalries begin to surface, the greatest threat to the family empire becomes the family itself. ” Charlie Cox is back as Michael, Clare Dunne as Amanda, Emmett J. Scanlan as Jimmy, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Birdy, Sam Keeley as Viking, Yasmin Seky as Nikita, and Mark McKenna Jr. as Anthony.

New cast members include Alex Deegan as Shelley Dunne and Diyar Bozkurt as Aslan Batuk. Yasmin Seky on Kin return: “I’d love to get the thigh high boots on and be Nikita again”
