LUX Nightclub, based in Kirkintilloch, announced its sudden closure this week after admitting its inability to"bounce back" after covid.They wrote:"Thank you to everyone who came down over the years, but this is the end of the road for the space being a nightclub.Speaking to the Glasgow Times, Sara Gray, manager of LUX Nightclub, said:"It's really sad, the town is gutted, and we are too.

"We're the only nightclub in a small town, and we just haven't been able to bounce back since the pandemic. "It's not that we haven't had anyone through the doors or that we haven't adapted, it's just that now it's a luxury for people to go out."We've adapted, we've dropped our prices and door entry fees but it's just no longer feasible."
