Elizabeth, 49, originally thought she had won £1,000 on the £3 National Lottery card, which she would have been more than happy with.She raced back to Tesco with her daughter before being told they must contact Camelot who confirmed that their incredible cash win was real. Elizabeth explained: "I regularly buy scratchcards but have never won more than say £10, so I couldn't quite believe it when I started to see what I had won.

"At first, I thought it was £1,000, which would have been happy with but as I carried on, I realised it was much more than that and I was in complete shock."And she revealed that he didn't believe her when she told him at first.Most read in Money
