Former Sunday Business Post editors Ian Kehoe and Tom Lyons welcome today's verdict at the High Court
Former business editor of The Sunday Business Post, Tom Lyons, has said that today is "a great day for Irish journalism".
"Newspapers have never been under more pressure and this isn't about the Sunday Business Post, this is about the right of every media organisation in this country to publish what is genuinely in the public interest and of public importance," said Mr Kehoe. "We wrote a very fair article which was in the public interest, and was quite clearly so, and yet we’ve had to spend one month down here defending what was always a perfectly good article," he said.
