We tried an authentic Turkish breakfast at Preston Market and couldn't believe the size
More and more, Preston is becoming known for its variety, and I for one am loving the culinary moment it seems to be having.
Having only been opened for less than a fortnight, the cosy spot on the corner instantly got my attention with its unique menu. After a chat with the owner Nurcan, I learned the varied menu derives from her own Turkish background, mixed with her life here in Lancashire. I had no idea what a Turkish breakfast actually consists of but Nurcan assured me it was worth trying. Taking a seat in a cosy spot at the back, a few minutes later I was presented with a steaming cup of Turkish tea in a traditional Turkish cup.
For £6.50 I was floored. Cheese isn't exactly cheap and I just knew the filo pastry type rolls wouldn't have been quick to make.
