Council has received nine noise and ASB complaints since November 2021
A West Belfast bar restaurant and venue has been allowed to renew an entertainment licence despite persistent complaints of antisocial behaviour and noise.
“Attempts to hold a meeting either online or in person proved unsuccessful. However, the resident still wishes to pursue the objection.” The council report states the owners of Suffolk Inn gave a representation promising to have shutters down at 11pm to minimise noise, to train door staff further, and to insist alcohol be left inside to curb people moving outside.
“On two of the occasions, officers of the noise team witnessed excessive noise levels that warranted action. On February 12 2022 the NTNT witnessed audible music from open doors and very loud bass beat music.
