Councillor Janet Campbell said Mr Yousaf had been 'a voice for the struggling' in his 13 months in power
The SNP group leader on West Lothian Council has paid tribute to the outgoing First Minister Humza Yousaf who resigned yesterday .
The First Minister was forced to quit after scrapping the Bute House Agreement, a power sharing deal set up with the Greens in 2021. Councillor Campbell told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: "Humza Yousaf's resignation was undertaken with grace and dignity and was a humbling and human moment with which we should all feel empathy and compassion.
Cllr Campbell added: "Humza has been the only government leader on these islands who has been a voice for those struggling during this crisis.
