This latest round of closures follows the chain shutting down 41 pubs in 2023
JD Wetherspoon, the British pub giant, has announced plans to shut down 61 of its outlets by the end of 2024, affecting numerous locations across the UK.
Furthermore, the company has revealed that there are another 10 operational pubs that are currently being marketed for sale or have offers pending, reports the Express. JD Wetherspoon, affectionately known as Wetherspoons or Spoons, is a British pub chain founded by Tim Martin in 1979. The company operates numerous pubs and hotels across the UK and Ireland.
