TEGNA said Friday all of its stations will now be available to Dish customers.
The dispute between TEGNA and WFAA ran for months, keeping the local TV station blacked out for North Texas customers.TV station owner Tegna and Dish Network have come to an agreement for Dish to carry its channels once again, ending a months-long blackout ofAround 3 million Dish Network customers around the U.S. lost access to 64 Tegna-owned stations in early October when the two companies failed to reach an agreement on the price Dish would pay to carry the stations.
“We are pleased to announce that we have reached a new agreement with Dish, restoring our valuable and important live local news, live local and national sports and highly popular network content to Dish TV subscribers,” Tegna chief operating officer Lynn Beall said in a statement Friday evening. “We appreciate the patience of our viewers while we worked toward reaching an agreement.”
The agreement announced late this week ends a particularly ugly dispute between the TV provider and station owner that saw both sides
