Jacksonville’s Mayo Clinic continues to make progress on major additions to its sprawling medical campus off San Pablo Road.
The Robins & Morton Group is the contractor handling the work on the foundation.
Mayo also is amid a $432 million expansion to add five hospital floors above its existing tower. When completed by 2026, Mayo's main facility will be 13 floors with 121 new beds, including 56 for the intensive-care unit.A new science, technology, engineering and mathematics building will be added toThe STEM building will rise to three stories high. Permits for the project were approved by the Jacksonville Building Inspections Division in November.
Additions will be provided for the north and south buildings on the campus at 1770 Valley Ridge Blvd., according to permits recently approved by Jacksonville building inspectors. The work will also involve interior renovations to existing buildings and a new parking lot.
