Ulster Rugby are keen to rise to an honours grade for their opening URC block and that means securing a victory against their Welsh opponents
Richie Murphy is looking for more than a pass grade for the URC 's opening block of games - and that's why victory in Cardiff is crucial for Ulster.
"He's working hard at his game, has got confidence back and is playing with a bit of freedom," acknowledged Murphy. "He's also helping some of the younger lads around him, so I think we are seeing the real strengths of his game over the past few weeks." Cardiff Rugby: Cam Winnett, Mason Grady, Rey Lee-Lo, Ben Thomas, Iwan Stephens, Callum Sheedy, Aled Davies, Ed Byrne, Evan Lloyd, Keiron Assiratti, Josh McNally, Teddy Williams, Ben Donnell, Dan Thomas, Alun Lawrence.
"We go to Cardiff, it will be difficult, it was my first home game here against them and we found it really tough to beat them, so it will be interesting to see how we get on and hopefully show that progression since then. "You have to be good away from home. The measure of a team is how you do when you aren’t playing in front of your own fans. The lads are excited, training has been focused and there has been a good buzz about the place."
Tighthead Tom O'Toole - another Farrell pick - is in an unchanged front row from last week with Eric OSullivan and hooker James McCormick.
