This 'scalpcial' may not be as well-known as its facial counterpart yet, but its benefits may soon make it one of the most popular scalp treatments at dermatologists' offices and spas.
That said, you may notice a difference even if you aren't treating hair loss in other ways. "The first step is to cleanse and exfoliate in the office using a vacuum to extract any dirt, oil, or buildup from pores," Dr. Shirazi says. This HydraFacial Beta HD solution, formulated for exfoliation, is used for this step — "Beta" refers to the beta hydroxy acid in the formula,. And that's more or less where the similarities between Keravive and the original HydraFacial end.
Blancato says clients are instructed to use it once every night and to also practice scalp massage. "We repeat this process once every four weeks," she tellsKeravive is intended to be repeated three times. "It requires continued treatment to maintain results," Dr. Fromowitz says. But keep in mind, different people have different concerns and goals.
