Here's what you need to know
The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be visible for some in the skies of Nottinghamshire over the bank holiday weekend, marking 80 years since the Battle of the Atlantic in World War II. .
These aircraft can be regularly seen in the skies over the UK from May to September each year. They are flown to celebrate and commemorate public and military events from State occasions such as Trooping the Colour to major airshows and flypasts for public events. Over the bank holiday the aircraft are scheduled to pass over Nottinghamshire three times. On Sunday, May 28 the flight's Lancaster bomber is scheduled to flypast Langley Mill, Nottinghamshire at 1.33pm.The iconic World War II bomber will later pass over Newark, Nottinghamshire at 1.44pm. On Monday, May 29, the legendary Spitfire fighter plane will fly past Langley Mill, Nottinghamshire at 2.38pm.
The full list of times for flypasts is below, which includes appearances in nearby Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
