Moisture from a weak atmospheric river over the Pacific Northwest is expected to push into NorCal this weekend, bringing a chance of rain to the Bay Area.
Here's how much rain the weather service is forecasting in locations across the Bay Area from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon:Napa and Fairfield: less than 0.1 to more than 0.1 inchTo the north of the Bay Area, the weather service's Eureka office is projecting more significant rainfall totals, with 0.83 inches expected in Mount Shasta, 0.85 inches in Eureka, 1.04 inches in Weaverville, and 1.45 inches in Klamath.
The Sacramento Valley could see from a quarter to a tenth of an inch of rain, while the Northern Sierra is expected record a half inch to an inch of precipitation. Idamis Del Valles-Shoemaker, a forecaster with the Sacramento weather office, said snow in the Tahoe Basin is unlikely with this storm as snow levels will be too high.
