Where Alabama baseball stands as the SEC tournament approaches
Alabama began play against LSU as No. 50, boasting the nation’s 14th-hardest strength of schedule plus wins over RPI No. 1 Tennessee and No. 3 Georgia. But knocking down the Tide are some head-scratching non-conference losses, including early-season defeats to North Alabama and UT-Martin . Alabama has also lost twice to UAB, which entered the weekend No. 74 in RPI.
On the line over the next few weeks is the chance for consecutive NCAA tournament appearances after the schoolearned its first bid since 2014.
