All incoming first-year students are included, no matter what year they sat the Leaving Cert

Among those in the previous Leaving Cert cohort are 7,690 applicants who have previously attended a higher education institution but who sought to re-enter college in 2022. The State Exams Commission figures on the number of students who sat the Leaving Cert in all schools in 2022 show that 60,197 undertook the traditional Leaving Cert.
