. That report followed comments Clarkson had made about Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, in his newspaper column.
The host issued multiple apologies, and stated that he had written"to everyone who works with me" andto further apologise. A spokesperson for the couple responded to claim that Clarkson"wrote solely" to Prince Harry. McCall reiterated that ITV condemned Clarkson's column shortly after its publication, stating:"We came out much quicker than anybody else, Amazon included. We just came out said, 'Yes, we do not endorse a single word that he said on that. And there’s no place for that on ITV.'
