Injury-time Jack Sargent point sends lucky Kildare into Leinster semi-finals

Photograph: Tom Maher/InphoA Jack Sargent point in the fifth minute of injury-time earned 13-man Kildare the most dramatic of Leinster SFC quarter-final victories, just seconds after Wicklow had squandered a glorious opportunity by kicking wide of an open goal at the other end of the pitch.
Oisín McGraynor made no mistake with the penalty, drilling it beyond Mark Donnellan. Draw game, Kildare down to 13, the wind in Wicklow’s sails. The Wicklow players out the field weren’t exactly giving Doyle tons of options either, so many of his kickouts were put up in the air for 50-50 battles. Points from the deep running Patrick O’Keane and Darragh Fee kept Wicklow in touch but Kildare looked even more comfortable than their 0-8 to 0-5 advantage suggested when they were reduced to 14 men on the half hour mark.
