Tropical storm, surge or even hurricane watches could be coming by Monday.
A tropical disturbance could become a tropical or subtropical storm in the next few days and head toward the Florida peninsula. Forecasters said it's possible it could be near hurricane strength as it nears the coast. Another system to the north is not expected to affect land.The National Hurricane Center on Sunday night continued to track a tropical disturbance that could threaten Florida -- possibly as a hurricane -- later this week.
It’s not even a tropical depression yet, but an area of low pressure about 300 miles north of Puerto Rico.Interests along SE US coast, E Florida, & C-NW Bahamas should monitor closely. Storm Surge, Tropical Storm, & Hurricane Watches could be needed on Monday.
