Rain, wind warnings issued for Donegal with chance of thunderstorms or hail showers across Ulster

Frequent rain showers are expected to lead to localised flooding in the county along with chance of isolated thunderstorms or hail showers across Ulster. Coastal areas expected to see storm force winds in the northwest while gale force westerly winds are forecast for the entire country along with some severe and damaging gusts. The yellow warning for all other counties remains in place until 2am on Friday.
Strong and gusty winds can be expected throughout the day, before reaching the east in the afternoon. Thursday afternoon temperatures are set to be between 7 and 9 degrees, with overnight lows of between 3 and 6 degrees.
