Police have released a statement on the cordon in Armley this morning
West Yorkshire Police responded to a crash in Armley this morning where a 30-year-old woman was hit by a car and rushed to hospital for treatment. Her injuries were confirmed as not serious or life threatening, police have said.
The crash happened at 9.51am on Monday in Crab Lane, Armley, near to the Armley Library and a large police cordon was put in place in Stocks Hill from Crab Lane to Wesley Road. The road has since been reopened.Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman but no arrests have been reported at this time. A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 9.51am today, police were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a woman pedestrian in Crab Lane, Armley.
"The 30-year-old woman was taken hospital for treatment, and her injuries were confirmed as not serious or life threatening. The driver stopped at the scene and has spoken to officers. The road re-opened shortly after noon."
