ARMED cops swooped today after a woman was attacked with acid on her own doorstep after answering her front door.
The victim was overcome by the the effects of the substance sprayed and was rushed to hospital where doctors had been put on stand-by.Credit: EDDIE MITCHELLCredit: EDDIE MITCHELLIt was believed that the incident was a targeted attack and that the perpetrator had run off from the scene.A specialist decontamination team, cops, three fire engines and paramedics attended after the 10.53am assault in Portslade, East Sussex.
Sussex Police said: “Emergency services responded to a report of a woman who was sprayed with a noxious substance at an address in Brasslands Drive, Portslade.
