A 66-year-old woman has appeared in court in Co Donegal charged with causing the death of a 25-year-old man in a road traffic collision. James 'Jimmy' McKenna was killed as he was walking home near Moville in the early hours of June 9, 2024, when he was struck by a car. Lynda O'Doherty was arrested and charged with driving without due care and attention. The case was adjourned until April 15th to allow the solicitor to consider the DPP's directions.

Mr McKenna, from Buncrana, was walking home with a friend after attending the Inishowen Vintage Show at 1.30am when he was struck by a car at Ballynally. Lynda O'Doherty was taken to the court which was sitting in Buncrana by Gardai having been arrested earlier.
