A woman has died after being hit by a train in Nottinghamshire, police have confirmed. by paramedics after they were called to the line in Attenborough at 9.08pm on Thursday .

British Transport Police, who were also called to the scene, said the incident is not being treated as suspicious. "Officers were called to the line in Attenborough at 9.08pm last night following reports of a casualty on the tracks," said a force spokesperson."The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner." Trains on the routes from Nottingham to London St Pancras, Leicester, Derby, Crewe and Lincoln were disrupted last night.

"This has occurred between East Midlands Parkway/Long Eaton and Nottingham. Trains in to and out of Nottingham will be disrupted for the remainder of the evening." Samaritans are there for you.
