The 49-year-old was walking near the motorway at junction 8 on Saturday evening when, at around 7.10pm, she was struck by a white BMW 5 Series car.The BMW driver, a 41-year-old man, was taken to hospital.Officers kept the road closed for around seven hours for investigations.
Sergeant Nicholas Twigg said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has died and our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened continue."Anyone with dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation is also asked to contact us.”on 101, quoting incident number 2868 of Saturday, November 19, 2022.
