A woman, aged in her 80s, has died following a horror crash between a car and a truck in Co Clare this afternoon.
The woman, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the truck was reportedly uninjured.The road has been closed and local diversions are in place as gardai remain at the scene awaiting a technical investigation. A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a truck that occurred at approximately 4.00pm, on Tuesday 7th March 2023, on the R487 between Kilbaha and Kilkee, County Clare.
