A woman in her 30s was found dead in Baile Eoghain, Gorey, following an incident early Thursday morning. A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the death.
Emergency services responded to an incident at a residence in Baile Eoghain, Gorey, shortly after 3am on Thursday, December 19th, 2024. A woman in her 30s was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region. The scene has been preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau, and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
A post-mortem is expected to take place later today. Gardaí in Gorey are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
