Woman dies in apparent knife attack in Dublin

Gardaí arrested a man aged in his fifties at the scene of the incident, a house in Greenfort Drive,The nature of the incident remains unclear, but gardaí said officers were called to the address at 12.30am where they discovered the woman, aged in her forties, “with serious injuries believed to be stab wounds”.

She was pronounced dead at the scene where her body remains for examination by the State Pathologist.The house is sealed off, and Garda crime scene analysts are due to conduct an investigation of the scene.
