The crash involved two cars and a pedestrian
Merseyside Police were called to Lorenzo Drive, opposite the junction of Wandsworth Road, in Norris Green at around 1.40pm on Saturday, May 18. It followed reports of a crash involving two cars a blue Toyota Aygo and a blue Ford Mondeo, and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. A 40-year-old woman, from Norris Green, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and drink driving. She has been released under investigation.READ MORE: Body found on railway tracks Police are now appealing for witnesses, and for any CCTV, doorbell and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident.
Inspector Emma Haffenden of Roads Policing said: “We have launched an investigation into the circumstances of this collision and appeal to anyone who witnessed any part of it to please get in touch and help us. “We are aware there were a number of people were in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to it, and ask to please contact us to assist the investigation. We also appeal to anybody with any CCTV or dash camera footage to get in touch.Anyone who witnessed the crash or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact SCIU on 777 5747, or email [email protected] with reference 24000453380.
