Woman in stolen vehicle arrested after pursuit ends in crash in City Heights [Breaking]
A 25-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after leading deputies on a short pursuit that ended when she crashed into several vehicles in City Heights, officials said.
Deputies tried to stop the vehicle near Murray Ridge Park in the area of Murray Ridge and Mission Center roads in Serra Mesa about 8:45 a.m. because the vehicle was stolen, sheriff’s Sgt. Bill Munsch said. The woman drove onto southbound Interstate 15 and took the El Cajon Boulevard exit. She continued on surface streets until she crashed about a mile away, near 35th Street and Orange Avenue. She struck at least three vehicles, Munsch said.One of the other drivers suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, Munsch said.
