Merseyside Police said the woman had previously reported recent allegation of theft
Officers were called to Bolde Way in Spital just after 11.20am on Tuesday, April 23. It came after Merseyside Police received a call from the North West Ambulance Service that a woman, aged 90, had been found in a house.
The woman’s next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. The matter has been voluntarily referred by Merseyside Police to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as Merseyside Police were investigating a recent allegation of theft on behalf of the woman. “I know that people, particularly those living locally, will be understandably concerned and even frightened when they hear what has happened but I want them to feel reassured that we are doing everything we can to find who is responsible and bring them to justice. I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to our officers in the local area.
