Exclusive: Tracey Brougham refused to say whether she regrets repeatedly making derogatory racist remarks
A woman has refused to say whether she regrets repeatedly using the N word - after getting caught doing so in an RTE documentary.
Confronted by the Irish Mirror outside her home, which is located close to the ‘Coolock Says No’ protest site, Ms Brougham was asked about the footage of her calling several workers ‘dirty filthy n******" and whether she wanted to comment on it: “No. I don’t want to,” she said. “None of yis are wanted, ye dirty filthy bastards,” she is also heard saying. The programme also shows the woman attempting to strike a security guard across the head. She is also shown saying the N word a further two times, telling those present at the site to “get the f*ck out.”
"The RTÉ Investigates documentary demonstrated a clear public interest in highlighting the use of disinformation to initiate violence, showing the extent of how the state has, at times, struggled to respond when these protests have gotten out of control, and raises questions around freedom of speech and intimidation of immigrants, journalists, business people, volunteers and the An Garda Siochána themselves.
