Woman's 'disgust' as six-hour delay and 140-mile detour for Ryanair flight doesn't qualify for refund

A Bath woman has been left 'disgusted' by Ryanair which will not compensate her for a six-hour delay to a flight which faced a 146-mile detour.

The 24-year-old said in an official complaint letter to the airline, which has been seen by Bath Live. "The experience of turbulence of the aircraft was horrendous, at one point I was in tears due to believing that the worst was going to happen and on the second attempt to land we were approximately 10 seconds away from landing, when we had to go back up.After the aircraft's failed attempts to land, the decision was taken to divert to Shannon Airport - which lies on the other side of Ireland.

Speaking to Bath Live, Ms Gardner said: "I wasn't asking to be treated like royalty, just a normal person."
