Rhiannon Baxter was hit with a diagnosis after 'thinking nothing of it'
A mum said she is "grateful to be alive" after being told she had three cancerous tumours while pregnant with her first child.
The pharmacy care coordinator said: "It was the worst week of my life waiting for those results, because I thought, if it has spread anywhere else, I can’t do it. If it’s just breast cancer, I can do this." She added: "I want to take him on holiday, and I want to take him swimming and all sorts. If something good can come out of what happened to me, or I can prevent someone else going through what I did, then this has happened to me for a reason.Rhiannon explained that her mother Lorraine Kenny, 62, was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer at 41 and underwent a single mastectomy, and two decades later, “she is still here”.
She plans to have breast reconstruction surgery later on to help her “feel like me again”, and looks forward to enjoying life with Dan and Alvie.
