A stranger socked a woman in the face and robbed her on an Upper West Side train late Monday, police said.

The mugger then ran off through the train cars, and had not been caught by Tuesday morning, cops said. Less than an hour later, a 20-year-old man was walking home at West 66th Street and West End Avenue, also on the Upper West Side, when another man approached and said, “I like your jacket,” cops said. The thief took off and had not been caught by Monday morning.
