Woman subjected to 'serious' sexual assault on residential street in Bolton during early hours attack
A woman was subjected to a 'serious' sexual assault whilst walking on a residential street in Bolton in the early hours of this morning.
The woman is thought to have left a premises on Market Street before walking along Market Street, King Street, Albert Road, Harrowby Street and onto Almond Street - where the assault occurred.She is currently being supported by specially trained officers. GMP have not confirmed whether anyone has been arrested but are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
In a statement, GMP said: "This morning at around 12:50am, officers received reports of a serious sexual assault of a woman on Almond Street, Farnworth in Bolton. "The woman is being supported by specialist officers and services and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
