It happened sometime between midnight and 1am on Tuesday, August 2 in the Ballywillin Road area of the seaside town.
Police have issued an appeal for information for anyone who witnessed the assault, or who may have seen a small dark blue van in the area.Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: “Sometime between midnight and 1am, a woman was set upon and assaulted by three men in the Ballywillin Road area of the town.
