This time-saving tip avoids using the tumble dryer to get the job done quickly
As households search for energy saving tips to save money, many Brits will be looking to cut back on using electricity guzzling machines like tumble dryers.
The Mirror reported a post on a Facebook group for fans of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch in which one person asked: "Tips on drying towels and clothes when they can't be dried outside, please? I haven't got room for a dehumidifier." The woman's comment was backed up by other cleaning fans too, who said that if they absolutely have to use the tumble dryer, they only stick towels in for 10 minutes.
While a third suggested: "I do an extra spin then [put my clothes] on coat hangers on the shower rail, and over the bannister for bedding and towels."
