Shawn Hairston, 35, and Ana Scott, 42, died from gunshot wounds after an incident in the first block of S. 16th Street Sunday. It was one of series of shootings in the city.
Two died in a shooting at a Harrisburg row home near 16th and Chestnut streets on March 13, 2022. Police on Monday identified the two people killed in a shooting Sunday afternoon shooting on South 16th Street as Shawn Hairston, 35, and Ana Scott, 42.
Police have previously said the double-homicide was a “targeted” incident, and Monday, Carter said there was no evidence of a break-in at the home. Carter said the investigation is active and ongoing, and that police were not at liberty to give out information on potential suspects.after firing a gun at a home in the 900 block of N. 19th Street, police said.
All of the wounded men were in stable condition, he said. Some of the shootings may have been connected, but it was too soon to say, police said. “Two people senselessly lost their lives,” she said. “Two families are without a son and daughter. Why? and for what?”
