Two second half goals in the space of five minutes lead to one of the biggest upsets in tournament history

The result turns Group C - also containing Poland and Mexico - on its head and deals Argentina a significant blow as they look to win a first World Cup for Lionel Messi in what will likely be his final appearance at the global showpiece.
The game looked to be plain sailing for Argentina in the early stages after Messi put them ahead from the penalty spot inside 10 minutes, Leandro Paredes the man hauled down inside the box. Less than 20 minutes later, Lautaro Martinez thought he had doubled the lead after finishing from a ball behind the defence, only for VAR to intervene and rule the goal out for offside.
