Kane Tanaka, from Japan, has lived through two World Wars, seen 58 prime ministers, and survived the 1918 Spanish flu. Granddaughter Junko Tanaka tweeted a picture of two commemorative Coca-Cola bottles her fizzy drinking-loving gran was given, the labels personalised with her name and age.She told her gran: ‘I hope you’ll continue to live life cheerfully and to the fullest.’She went on to become the oldest known person in Japanese history when she reached 117 years and 261 days in September 2020.
