Global drug production site in Wrexham gets new £75m facility
The facility in Wrexham Industrial Estate develops and manufactures medicines to treat neurological conditions.
This latest funding follows a £27million investment last year which was used to build a new drug manufacturing facility.Wrexham mayor Andy Williams joined Ipsen boss David Loew at a tree planting ceremony to mark the investment and the sites 50th birthday "Through the creation of numerous jobs over five decades, Ipsen's Wrexham site has contributed significantly to the growth of the local economy," said mayor Andy Williams at the event.It describes its Wrexham facility as a "neuroscience centre of excellence".
Ipsen boss, David Loew, said: "We have seen huge growth in demand at this important site, and we are pleased to continue our investment in the area and contribute positively to the local economy."
