The CMA has provisionally concluded that Microsoft's Activision Blizzard acquisition will not 'substantially lessen' UK console gaming competition:
The UK's Competition and Markets Authority has provisionally found that Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard"will not result in a substantial lessening of competition in relation to console gaming in the UK."
According to the CMA, it has received"a significant amount of new evidence in response to its original provisional findings," and after considering this new evidence along with previous information already gathered, the CMA has provisionally concluded that"the transaction will not result in a substantial lessening of competition in relation to console gaming in the UK."
