Xpress Health expands digital healthcare staffing platform into new international markets

Irish healthtech company Xpress Health is growing its AI-powered workforce platform across Britain, Australia and beyond, supporting thousands of organisations without external equity funding.

Xpress Health is an Irish healthcare technology company that has developed a digital platform to help healthcare providers manage qualified professionals more efficiently. Co-founded by Sanjay Abraham and Ian Morgan, the company combines workforce management, compliance, recruitment and intelligent matching into a single system, replacing manual processes with data-driven operations.

Since its launch in 2021, Xpress Health has expanded rapidly beyond Ireland into Britain and Australia, with plans to enter two additional new markets during the current year. The wider group also operates related brands, including Xpress GP and Care Learning, extending its capabilities across primary care, professional learning and broader software solutions. The company now supports more than 3,000 healthcare organisations, a community of over 25,000 users and employs more than 350 people across seven international locations.

Its founders describe the platform as a complete healthcare staffing suite that connects providers with qualified professionals while handling recruitment, compliance, credential vetting and training. The leadership team has rebuilt how workforce management operates using automation and artificial intelligence, and is now extending that approach across the full span of a professional's career.

Two major platforms form the backbone of the business, one operating in Ireland, the UK and Australia and another serving additional countries, with significant volume coming from the UK market. International expansion remains central to the company's strategy, driven by the conviction that its software can be replicated to suit any country's healthcare system. The aim is to export Irish innovation and build the leading AI-powered healthcare workforce platform globally.

Notably, Xpress Health has been built entirely without external equity funding, with every stage of growth financed through operating cash flow. This approach has encouraged financial discipline, preserved control and enabled a long-term outlook. The move into the UK in 2023 demonstrated that the staffing challenges addressed in Ireland were not unique to that market, providing confidence to enter Australia in 2025 and to pursue recognition as a healthcare technology company with global reach
